Certificate update:
IMPORTANT – ACTION MAY BE REQUIRED:This release of Trellix Anti-malware Engine 6600 contains new signing certificates as part of the continued Trellix rebranding efforts. These certificates are signed by new third-party root and intermediate certificate authorities. If your organization manually manages deployment of third-party root and intermediate certificate authority certificates to your devices, you will need to deploy the appropriate third-party and intermediate certificates to your devices before using this software. Failing to do so could impact or break the functionality of this software. This is an action your organization needs to take if you do not leverage automatic root certificate updating options such as the one available for Microsoft Windows operating systems.
This release of the Engine is signed with the new Musarubra certificate. This certificate is included in the MsgBus cert updater package version 5.7.7.435. To continue to receive the latest Engine update, please ensure your client systems are updated with the current MsgBus cert updater package.
Refer to article KB95958 for instructions on obtaining and deploying this package. Attempting to update to the 6600 Engine will not be successful until this requirement is met and client systems have received the update.
Supported products:
Some products might require updating in order to use the 6600 Engine, being a requirement related to the rebranding effort. Please see KB95499 for certificate details and more information about the Trellix rebranding efforts.
