Trellix is investigating an issue with ePO 5.10 SP1 and ePO 5.10 SP1 Update (both referred to as SP1). After successfully updating or installing SP1, Eventparser.exe and Apache.exe experience repeated application crashes. This issue only occurs when using a CPU with SHA-NI extensions enabled. Due to this issue, Trellix has removed SP1 from the Product Downloads Site and the ePO Software Catalog but will provide it to customers by opening a Service Request on an as-needed basis. Therefore, Trellix recommends customers to contact support before installing or upgrading to this version.
For customers who have already upgraded to SP1 and are experiencing the issue described, please open a service request, and see KB96464 for additional details. For customers that have already upgraded to ePO 5.10 SP1 and are not experiencing this issue, no further action is needed.
A hotfix to address this issue is expected to be released soon. Customers are encouraged to subscribe to KB96464 for details and updates.
