As previously communicated, the cloud host for Trellix content updates, Akamai, began enforcing strict compliance with RFC 9110 after June 15, 2023. The following two URLs had a temporary exclusion in place however:
s-download.trellix.com
update.nai.com
These exclusions will expire on August 30, 2023.
This change may have an impact on older browsers or scripted mechanisms attempting to retrieve content update files and packages, causing them to fail.
To avoid content update failures for environments using the described update methods above, customers are advised to retrieve content update packages using current versions of their browser, as these are already compliant with RFC 9110.
