This is an important notification regarding compatibility issues identified with ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update 1 and Update 2 when used in conjunction with specific versions of File & Removable Media Protection (FRP) and User Directory extensions.
We have received reports of issues affecting the ability to modify policies and configurations when ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10 SP1 Update 1 and Update 2 are used with FRP 5.4.4 or lower and User Directory 2.0.3.1 or lower extensions.
Please note: User Directory is an optional extension to Trellix Drive Encryption (TDE). Customers utilizing Active Directory for TDE user management will not be impacted by these reported issues.
Recommendation:
To avoid potential complications, we strongly advise customers currently using the affected versions of FRP or User Directory not to upgrade to ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10 Service Pack 1 Update 1 and Update 2 at this time. Our development teams are actively working on new releases of FRP and User Directory to resolve these compatibility concerns.
If you have already upgraded and are experiencing issues related to policy or configuration modifications, please contact our Support team for potential workarounds until the new releases become available.
