Trellix: Intrusion Prevention System 11.1 Update 9 Software Release Now Available

The following IPS software are now available:

  • IPS Manager / Central Manager –  version 11.1.7.136  (Windows and MLOS)
  • Non-Certification NS-series Sensors – version 11.1.5.136 (NS9600, NS9500, NS9300, NS9200, NS9100, NS7600, NS7500, NS7350, NS7250, NS7150, NS7300, NS7200, NS7100, NS5200, NS5100, NS3600, NS3500, NS3200, NS3100)
  • Trellix Virtual IPS Sensors – version 11.1.7.136
  • Controller / Probe – version 2.6.2 (AWS, Azure)

This release offers new capabilities including:

  • Improved Sensor performance monitoring
    Charts providing granular visibility on Sensor throughput, port throughput, and alarm / fault trigger for over / under-subscription 
  • Syslog source identification
    Improved Syslog notifications for easier troubleshooting and correlation by adding the explicit Manager IP-hostname (with primary / secondary for MDR faults) to all logs 
  • Scalable SNMP monitoring
    Expanded SNMP monitoring to support up to 50 IPSM IPs and users per device, offering greater flexibility and scale for network management. 
  • 20 Gbps throughput support on NS7600 Sensor
    Get sustained high-speed protection with 20 Gbps throughput support on the NS7600 Sensor for more demanding network environments 
  • Simplified licensing support for higher throughput virtualized environments with 5 Gbps Sensors for more demanding network environments
     
  • Support for Denial of Service (DoS) management, profiles, and filters at the individual member Sensor level within stack and stack failover configurations for NS9600 and NS9500 models
     
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) support with OpenID connect
    Access the Manager securely with the support of OpenID Connect (OIDC) for Single Sign-On (SSO) using existing Identity Provider (IdP) credentials, including MFA. Support includes Okta, Microsoft Entra, and Google IdP.
