Dear TACC Customer,
This notification is to inform you about the upcoming End-of-Support (EOS) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL 6) when used with your TACC Linux product.
We understand that changes like these require planning, and we are committed to providing you with clear and timely information to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Information and What This Means For You
Specific Change
This notice pertains only to the support for RHEL 6 as an operating system underlying your TACC installation. This does not impact the End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Sale (EOS) status of the TACC product itself. TACC continues to be a fully supported product.
Reason for Change
RHEL 6 has reached its upstream End-of-Life from Red Hat. To ensure we can continue to provide you with the most secure and effective support, we are aligning our support for this specific OS version.
Effective Date
We will formally end support for RHEL 6 on TACC on January 28, 2026. Please mark this date on your calendar.
Impact
After this date, we will no longer provide technical support, security updates, or bug fixes for TACC installations running on RHEL 6.
Recommended Action
We strongly advise you to plan your migration to a supported RHEL version (for example, RHEL 7, RHEL 8, or RHEL 9) as soon as possible to maintain full support, security, and performance for your TACC environment.
