We are proud to announce the General Availability of Trellix File and Removable Media Protection (FRP) 5.6.0 On-premises Release on January 28, 2026.
This release introduces new features and enhancements to improve support for modern networks by expanding options for user directory integrations and hardening the security of the endpoint agent with new self-protection capabilities. See a summary of the significant features below.
Key improvements in this release include:
- Microsoft Entra ID Integration: Enables a unified identity management experience by extending user and group-based functionality to work with Entra ID user directories. FRP key assignments, policy assignments, and OS logon now work seamlessly in both Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID environments
- Enhanced Agent Self-Protection: Protects FRP agent services, files, and registry settings against tampering. This hardens the FRP endpoint agent against attacks from malware, compromised local administrator accounts, or malicious/unintentional insider risks, ensuring the integrity and security of the FRP solution
