Trellix advises all customers using SSL proxy on NS7500 and NS9500 hardware appliances to upgrade to Trellix Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) software version 11.1.7.121–11.1.5.128 (11.1 Update 8 Hotfix, April 2025) or later by September 30, 2026.
IPS has moved from its previous SSL stack to a more sophisticated and robust framework. This transition bolsters the security of SSL proxy decryption, offering better performance and enhanced privacy controls. Please be advised that as of October 1, 2026, support will conclude for SSL-related enhancements or issues found in versions 11.1.7.111–11.1.5.113 (11.1 Update 7, December 2024) and all preceding software releases.
To ensure your sensors remain fully supported and benefit from the latest security intelligence, please complete this upgrade by September 30, 2026. Upgrading to the latest software is essential for your security posture and for receiving ongoing technical assistance.
